Pseudo
Pseudo is a plugin created by Chuck Duffy and the ChunkWorks PARIS Skunkworks as third party plugins for the PARIS EDS effects system. It is now being made available by permission of Chuck Duffy. According to Chuck, "Pseudo is an effect I ported to PARIS from the Ensoniq DP/PRO effects unit. It was originally written by MikeArnao Mike Arnao (an extremely talented Ensoniq guy) back in 1996... Pseudo is a pseudo-stereo simulator that takes a mono source and spreads it out across the stereo field. Pseudo retains any stereo information that is already present in the source. Unlike other stereo synthesizers this one will not collapse when summed to mono for AM radio airplay. Pseudo is a subtle effect that works great to enhance mono vocals and picked acoustic guitar. It also works especially well to add a sense of “depth” to a live acoustic performance when used on the global inserts. Controls explained:
Depth: Controls the depth of the pseudo-stereo field.
Density: Controls the density of the pseudo-stereo field. In general this paramater should be used at 100%.

Suggested Applications and Settings:
Tips:
• Because Pseudo is a S > S effect it can only be used on an Aux bus or the Global Insert Masters.
• Always set the aux bus to stereo when using pseudo.
• Start out by setting both Depth and Density to 100%.
• You may need to increase the level of send to the aux bus, or the level of return from the aux bus (or both) to achieve the best sound.
• You can solo the Aux bus to hear the full effect.
