Getting Multiple MECS Working

I currently have 8 EDS cards, 4 MECs, 4 C16s, 7 Analog Input cards, 4 Analog output cards and 7 ADAT cards running under XP. At one point during testing, I hooked up 6 loaded MECs and dropped 96 tracks in simultaneous Record. I would bet 96 tracks in Record is a record for a DAW (no pun intended).

I wish I could tell you why it seems to like me so well, but I don't know. Other than making sure you are patched correctly in the Paris patchbay and making sure the correct Input card is selected in the 2nd MEC's "MEC Modules" block, I would expect it to be a Word Clock issue.

You are using WC, right? Besides the "UseHouseSync UseHouseSync=1" line
[this is enabled by editing your paris.cfg in a text editor to contain this text - ed], you MUST create a "Default Project" in your Paris Pro folder, and the "Default Project" MUST be set to Word Clock sync and it MUST be set to a 48K sample rate. Even if you have your Word Clock generator set to 44.1K and are going to work at 44.1K, the Paris Default Project MUST be set to 48K in the Project Window when Paris boots up. After bootup, you can change it to read 44.1K with no problems. This one nearly killed me and Chris Thoman till we caught it.
