Does anyone investigated if Paris will work under the new Microsoft
operating system Vista? Will the new xp driver function similarly in the new
OS?

HI Rich,
Sense the driver model is changing with Vista I don't think there will
any hope of it working. There also will be no point. Paris is best run
on the hardware that was around when Paris was. My advice is to use a
machine to run Paris and Paris only. Build a new machine for everything
else. After this year its is more than likely you will not be able to
buy any motherboards or processors that will work with Paris. Stockpile
some vintage computer parts to go with your vintage Paris system.
:)

Which reminds me... I have, just sitting around, an HP PC mini-
tower that's a few years old, it's got a Celeron 600, IIRC, and
Windows ME (again, IIRC - it's been awhile since I booted it up).
If anyone needs something like this, I'd let it go fer cheeep,
plus shipping... I kept it in case I ever wanted to try running
a separate PC for VSTi's, but that whole category of software
quickly outgrew the processor capabilities of that computer.
You could probably find a faster Celeron than the one that's
in it & swap out the CPU for not too much dough.

Neil, what is the mother board in this thing? And what is IIRC. Sorry I'm
such an ignoramus.
